Quansoo is a loose, painterly pattern of rainbow-shaped curves, originally developed as a block-print by the artist Caroline Z Hurley in her Brooklyn studio. The design has the informal, hand-drawn character of a working sketch, the arcs printed in a single caramel tone that reads as both graphic and organic against the natural ground.
Printed in the United States on a linen-cotton blend — fifty-five per cent linen, forty-five per cent cotton — it is 144 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of sixty-four centimetres and a horizontal repeat of thirty-four. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also available as a wallcovering.
