Rag Rug Handwoven Stripe is woven by hand in India, each length carrying the slight irregularities and shifts in tension that come from the loom. The stripe is broken and informal, built from hand-dyed yarns that vary in tone within each band, so the cloth has depth and movement rather than the flat regularity of a machine weave.

Woven entirely from cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide with a modest 3-centimetre vertical repeat. The weight and substance of the cloth make it suitable for upholstery and cushions, where the handwoven texture and striped rhythm can be appreciated at close range. Dry cleaning is recommended.
