Raja Embroidery takes an antique Central Asian silk ikat as its starting point, translating the blurred, hand-woven character of the original into viscose embroidery on a linen ground. The tonal shifts and soft edges give the design a painterly quality, and the scale is generous enough to be read as a statement across curtains or a sofa.
Made in India, the cloth is 72 per cent linen with 21 per cent viscose and 7 per cent cotton, 132 centimetres wide, with a 76-centimetre vertical repeat and a 64-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in four colourways.
