Ribbon Appliqué Panel is a grey-on-ivory stripe built from grosgrain ribbons of graduating widths, applied to a linen-cotton-rayon ground. Designed by Miles Redd, the panel is 366 centimetres tall — twelve feet — so it can be hung as a full-length curtain or blind, or cut and turned to run horizontally, on the bias, or across upholstery where the asymmetry becomes part of the design.
Woven in India from thirty-one per cent linen, twenty-four per cent cotton and forty-five per cent rayon, it is 137 centimetres wide. The vertical repeat is 366 centimetres, the horizontal 137. Hand washing is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, each application allowing a different orientation of the stripe.
