Schumacher | Ribbon II

Ribbon II is a narrow stripe punctuated by small geometric motifs, hand‑woven in Guatemala using a traditional technique called pepanado in which the weaver threads each icon individually between the warp threads on a pedal loom. The result is a tonal, textural cloth with a quiet rhythm and an artisanal irregularity that gives upholstered pieces and cushions a distinctive, understated character.

Woven from pure cotton, it is 122 centimetres wide with a 24‑centimetre vertical repeat and a 28‑centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended, and the cloth suits cushions, upholstery and curtains where the small‑scale pattern and handwoven texture can be appreciated at close range.
