Ribbon Stripe is a jacquard stripe designed by Timothy Corrigan in which the bands shift in tone along their length, creating an ombré effect within each stripe. The three-centimetre horizontal repeat means the stripes are closely spaced, and the tonal shifts give the cloth a sense of movement and light. It is a modern take on the stripe, less rigid than a flat, even band of colour.
Woven in India from cotton and polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat of three centimetres. Contact the house for care instructions. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions, and the ombré effect works particularly well on curtains where the vertical drop allows the tonal shifts to be read in full.
