Rousseau Stripe is a graphic mid-scale design of wavy vertical stripes in varying widths punctuated by rhythmic dots, the whole pattern printed on the bias so the familiar stripe acquires a gently restless, syncopated character. The rhythm of line and dot gives the cloth a lively presence without insisting on attention.
Printed in the United Kingdom on a blend of three-quarters cotton and a quarter linen, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 34-centimetre repeat both vertically and horizontally. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstered furniture, and the design is also produced as a wallpaper.
