Schumacher | Royal Silk Embroidery Trim

Royal Silk Embroidery Trim is a parade of hand-stitched flowers, butterflies and dragonflies worked in hand-dyed yarns on a fine silk and linen ground. The design is drawn from a gown worn by Queen Elizabeth I in a 1599 portrait by Nicholas Hilliard, each motif painstakingly embroidered so the trim carries both historical lineage and the mark of the hand.

Made in India from silk and linen, it is eight centimetres wide with a twenty-one-centimetre repeat in both directions. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions, upholstery and curtains, where the richness of the embroidery and the scale of the repeat can be appreciated in full.
