Rubia Embroidery sets stylised flowers across a linen ground in an irregular running stitch that catches the light with a subtle sheen. The pattern reads as organic and relaxed rather than formal, the hand-worked quality giving each bloom a slightly different character. At a 16-centimetre vertical repeat the scale suits both large and small pieces without dominating.
Made in India, the cloth is 85 per cent linen with 15 per cent viscose, 130 centimetres wide, with a horizontal repeat of 15 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It works for curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also available as wallcovering and in coordinating plain fabrics. The design comes in six colourways.
