Rubia Sheer embroiders stylised flowers across a fine linen ground in an irregular running stitch, the stitchwork loose enough to preserve the translucency of the cloth. The effect is botanical without being literal, the pattern reading as a gentle scatter rather than a formal repeat.
Woven in India, it is 132 centimetres wide and composed of linen with a small proportion of viscose. The vertical repeat is 15 centimetres, the horizontal 16 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains and blinds where a sheer or semi-sheer layer is wanted, and coordinates with other fabrics and wallcoverings in the Rubia range.
