Rustic Silk Matka is woven from irregular silk threads that give the cloth a slubby, textured surface, the irregularity reading as natural variation rather than flaw. The material has more weight than most silk fabrics, and the ivory colourway shows off the texture without distraction.
Woven in India from 80 per cent silk and 20 per cent viscose, it is 134 centimetres wide and finished with a satin construction. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in three colourways.
