Samar Ikat Velvet takes an antique woven silk as its starting point, reinterpreted as a stripe and printed onto cotton velvet so the design can be offered at a larger scale and in a wider range of colours. The arrangement of the stripes makes it straightforward to lay out on upholstered furniture.
Made in Thailand from 90 per cent cotton and 10 per cent polyester, it is 138 centimetres wide with a 17-centimetre vertical repeat and a 34-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The velvet suits upholstery and cushions, and is available in several colourways.
