San Carlo Mohair Velvet is a woven velvet with a plain, even pile that catches and holds light in a single, saturated note. The mohair content gives the surface a slight halo and a softer hand than pure cotton velvet, while the weave itself is dense and robust. It reads as colour first, texture second.
Woven in the Netherlands from fifty-four per cent cotton and forty-six per cent mohair, it is 140 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. With a wide palette of colourways, it suits upholstery and cushions where a solid, tactile cloth is wanted without pattern or sheen competing for attention.
