Santa Monica Ikat is an artisanal ikat pattern printed on a cotton-linen ground, its softened, irregular forms running the full width of the cloth with borders at each selvedge. The borders can be left intact for a framed effect or cut away and used as trimming elsewhere—on cushion edges, leading edges of curtains, or as banding on upholstery.
Printed in India, the cloth is 55 per cent cotton and 45 per cent linen, 135 centimetres wide with a 38-centimetre vertical repeat and a 134-centimetre horizontal repeat that runs nearly selvage to selvage. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and the design is available in several colourways.
