Schumacher | Saree Stripe

Saree Stripe is an embroidered vertical stripe inspired by traditional Indian sari patterning, the embroidery worked onto a woven ground of cotton, linen and rayon. The stripe is spaced generously—67 centimetres horizontally, 5 vertically—so the pattern has rhythm and breathing room, and the embroidery adds texture and a handworked quality.

Made in India, the cloth is 151 centimetres wide and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. The composition is 49 per cent cotton, 37 per cent linen and 14 per cent rayon, and dry cleaning is recommended.
