Schumacher | Scallop Embroidery

Scallop Embroidery is a mid-scale lattice worked in satin stitch on a crisp cotton ground, its interlocking geometry recalling the carved screens of jali architecture. The embroidery gives the cloth a tactile, graphic quality, the stitched lines sitting proud of the surface so the pattern reads as both texture and structure.

Made in India, it is composed of three-quarters cotton and one-quarter viscose, 126 centimetres wide, with a 19-centimetre vertical repeat and a 14-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
