Schumacher | Serengeti

Serengeti is a stylised animal pattern woven as a chenille, the pile giving the design a tactile depth and a play of light across its surface. The pattern reads at a bold scale — the vertical repeat runs to 94 centimetres — so it makes a statement on larger pieces of upholstery or full-length curtains, where the motif can be seen in full.

Woven in Turkey from viscose and polyester, it is 135 centimetres wide with a 65-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The chenille construction suits upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, and the cloth's weight and texture bring substance to any of those applications.
