Schumacher | Shalkar

Shalkar is a large-scale botanical woven and printed on a linen–cotton ground, the indigo flowers and foliage arranged in a flowing, all-over pattern. The combination of jacquard structure and print layering gives the design depth and a hand-drawn quality, while the generous repeat allows the motifs to breathe across wide widths of fabric.

It is made in the United Kingdom from linen and cotton in equal measure, 137 centimetres wide with a 91-centimetre vertical repeat and 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
