Schumacher | Shasta Embroidery

Shasta Embroidery works chevron stripes across the ground, each stripe built from a different stitch so the surface varies in texture and relief as the pattern repeats. The effect is of something made by hand rather than mechanically reproduced, the embroidery dense enough to cover the cloth entirely.

Made in India from cotton with polyester, it is 132 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 19 centimetres and horizontal of 22. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery and cushions, where the varied stitchwork can be seen and felt.
