Shengyou Toile draws on an 18th-century document by court painter Jean-Baptiste Pillement, its hand-engraved origins preserved in the richness and dimension of the printed pattern. The design is full of the delightful incident that characterises Pillement's chinoiserie, and at this scale—a 119-centimetre vertical repeat—it reads as a complete scenic composition across curtains or upholstered panels.
Printed in France on a blend of 57% linen and 43% cotton, the cloth is 112 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat that matches the width. It is offered in seven colourways and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery; dry cleaning is recommended.
