Shio is a handpainted pattern of sweeping, gestural brushstrokes that suggest the curves and movement of water. The design is bold and graphic, each stroke carrying the irregularity and energy of the brush, and the repeat is a square 46 centimetres in both directions.
Printed on pure cotton in China, it is 138 centimetres wide and machine washable. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is offered in several colourways that range from soft neutrals to brighter, more contrasting palettes, so the same wave-like gesture can read quietly or with force depending on the setting.
