Shock Wave is a silk velvet woven with an ombré chevron stripe, the pile catching the light so the colour grades across each zigzag. The chevron is bold in scale and the velvet has a deep, tactile surface. The cloth is woven slowly—eight metres a day—at one of Italy's specialist silk mills.
Made in Italy from silk and cotton, it is 128 centimetres wide with a 36-centimetre vertical repeat and a 64-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The velvet suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is offered in a range of colourways.
