Schumacher | Silk Tracery

Silk Tracery is a jacquard-woven silk with a geometric pattern that reads as a fine, regular lattice across the cloth. The satin construction gives the surface a quiet lustre, the pattern emerging through changes in the weave rather than applied colour, so it shifts subtly depending on the angle of the light.

It is woven in India from pure silk, 139 centimetres wide with a 21-centimetre vertical repeat and 12-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery where the geometric tracery and silk's natural sheen can be appreciated at close range.
