Sinclair Wool Paisley is a jacquard-woven paisley in wool, viscose and cotton, the pattern rendered with enough detail to hold interest without becoming fussy. The design has the kind of density you expect from a traditional paisley, but the weave keeps it from feeling heavy. The vertical repeat is 70 centimetres, the horizontal 34, so the pattern moves across the cloth with a measured rhythm.

Woven in France from 39 per cent wool, 37 per cent viscose and 24 per cent cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits cushions and upholstery, where the wool content gives the cloth a natural resilience and the paisley's complexity rewards closer inspection.
