Solene Tape, designed by London textile designer Victoria Bain, takes its interlocking octagonal motif from Mughal architecture. Fine herringbone stitches accentuate the geometry, and the trim has a dry, dimensional texture that brings quiet detail to an edge or seam.
Woven in India from nine-tenths linen with spun polyester, it is six centimetres wide with a twenty-centimetre vertical repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, upholstery and cushions, where the architectural repeat and restrained palette add definition without competing with the cloth it trims. Available in three colourways.
