The Sophia Velvet pillow is made from a silk velvet with a deep, lustrous pile and a hand that feels genuinely plush, the sort of cloth that invites touch. The velvet has a natural sheen that shifts with the light and the direction of the pile, so the cushion reads differently depending on where it sits in a room. It is finished with viscose pom-pom fringe and includes a feather and down insert with a hidden zip closure.

Woven in the Netherlands, the velvet is thirty-nine per cent modal viscose and the cushion measures forty-one centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The pillow suits sofas, armchairs and beds where a layer of texture and quiet richness is wanted, and the fringe gives it a considered, finished edge.
