Sozan Velvet takes its pattern from an antique Chinese drawing of billowing clouds, a traditional emblem of good fortune, and renders it in an all-over velvet pile that catches and holds the light. The design moves across the cloth with a generous, dramatic scale, the repeat measuring 75 by 68 centimetres.
Woven in Belgium, the cloth is composed chiefly of viscose with cotton and polyester, and is 135 centimetres wide. It is offered in several colourways and suits both upholstery and cushions, where the plush pile and bold pattern can be seen to full effect. Dry cleaning is recommended.
