Schumacher | Spun Gold

Spun Gold is a woven stripe in which metallic polyester threads catch the light against a ground of polyamide and cotton, the texture built into the cloth rather than printed on. The stripe is relaxed rather than regimented, with a 26-centimetre vertical repeat and 17-centimetre horizontal, so it reads as rhythm rather than rigidity.

Woven in Italy, the fabric is 55 per cent polyamide, 32 per cent cotton and 13 per cent metallised polyester, 137 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, the metallic element adding quiet animation to seating or window treatments without competing for attention.
