Square in a Square takes the concentric-square motif found in traditional American quilts and translates it into a double-cloth weave, the rhythmic geometry acquiring a modern, graphic presence at medium scale. The design was created to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.
It is woven in India from 100% cotton as a substantial double cloth, 139 centimetres wide with a 56-centimetre vertical repeat and a 57-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
