Schumacher | Starfield Appliqué

Starfield Appliqué is a medium-scale pattern of irregular appliquéd stars on heavy cotton canvas, inspired by Jasper Johns's flag paintings and created to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. The stars are stitched onto the ground, giving the cloth a folksy, graphic dimension that reads differently depending on how light catches the raised surface.

Woven in India, chiefly of cotton with polyester, it is 135 centimetres wide with a 40-centimetre vertical repeat and 67-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The appliqué construction and weight make it well suited to upholstery, cushions, curtains and blinds.
