Stepped Chevron is a geometric jacquard in which space-dyed yarns create tonal shifts across a chevron that has been broken into horizontal bands. The effect is a pattern that reads as layered rather than sharp, with a textural surface and a sense of movement built into the weave itself. The chevron runs at a medium scale, legible but not dominating.
Woven in India from cotton, polyester and linen, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 4-centimetre vertical repeat and a 35-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery and cushions, where the stepped geometry and tonal depth work equally well as a feature or a foil.
