Suzani Strie Velvet translates a traditional Central Asian embroidery motif into cut and looped pile on a satin-like ground, the contrast between pile heights and the sheen of the base cloth creating a tone-on-tone pattern that shifts with the light. The velvet reads quietly, the suzani held in reserve rather than announced.
Woven in India from viscose and cotton, it is 138 centimetres wide with a 32-centimetre vertical repeat and a 34-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits cushions and upholstery, and is offered in three colourways.
