Schumacher | Sylvie Tape

Sylvie Tape is a wide cotton trim embroidered in satin stitch with a tonal pattern inspired by Moroccan Rabat embroidery. The design repeats every four centimetres vertically across the nine-centimetre width, creating a rhythmic, decorative edge. London textile designer Victoria Bain drew on the souks of Marrakesh and traditional weaving techniques when developing the design.

Made in India from cotton, it is recommended for dry cleaning. At nine centimetres wide, it is particularly suited to the leading edges of curtain panels, though it also works on cushions and upholstery where a broader, more decorative trim is wanted.
