Taboo is a vertical stripe drawn freehand in ink, coloured pencil and paint, inspired by the drawings of Jean Cocteau. The line wanders and doodles as it runs up the wall, so the pattern feels improvised, as though sketched directly onto the surface. The mid-scale repeat and artful, uneven hand give it the character of a mural without the commitment.
Printed in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a 137-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat, sold by the metre from rolls of around four and a half metres. Spongeable, it suits most interior walls where a drawn, informal stripe is wanted.
