Schumacher | Tanbark

Tanbark reinterprets a 1957 Schumacher fabric originally illustrated by John Goth, translating his gestural, dynamic draughtsmanship into a modern toile that captures the energy and movement of equestrian life. The medium-scale pattern is printed on a subtly textured ground, the expressive linework retaining the spontaneity and motion of the archive design. The result reads as both classic and contemporary, a toile with graphic confidence.

Made in the United States, it is printed 69 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 91 centimetres and a horizontal repeat matching the width. Sold by the metre from 9.14-metre rolls, it is spongeable and suited to walls. The design is available in three colourways.
