Temple takes the Greek key motif—a continuous interlocking line—and prints it onto a linen ground, the weave of the cloth lending the pattern a softness and depth that a smooth base would not. The scale is mid-sized, so the geometry reads clearly without dominating, and the hand-printing gives each length a slight variation in register.
Printed and woven in the United Kingdom, the pure linen cloth is 132 centimetres wide with a 4-centimetre vertical repeat and a 6-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also available as a wallcovering.
