Thistle is a collaboration with Neisha Crosland, drawing on her interest in espaliers—trees trained flat against a wall with branches in precise horizontal lines—and the brilliantly coloured mosaic tiles of Istanbul's fifteenth-century Topkapi Palace. The fantastical thistle motif is printed on a handmade silk-linen blend, and the full-width repeat of 135 centimetres gives the pattern an architectural confidence. It is also available as a wallcovering.
Printed in India on 51% linen and 49% silk, it is 135 centimetres wide with a 23-centimetre vertical repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in several colourways.
