Tigress Velvet is an abstracted animal pattern woven on a traditional wire loom, the design built from areas of silky pile set against a flat ground weave. This construction gives the cloth dimension and movement, with a strié effect and sheen that shift as the light catches the surface. The pattern works at a medium scale.
Woven in the United States from equal parts cotton and rayon, it is 127 centimetres wide with a 71-centimetre vertical repeat and 66-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery.
