Schumacher | Toile de Femmes

Toile de Femmes is a contemporary reworking of the toile de Jouy by fine artist Jackie Gendel, produced under the Peg Norriss imprint. In place of the usual pastoral vignettes, spirited female figures populate city and country scenes, the narrative drawn with a lyrical, modern hand. The pattern reads as both a nod to the traditional format and a departure from it, the figures animated and individual.

Printed in the United States, the paper is 137 centimetres wide with a 46-centimetre repeat in both directions, sold by the metre from 9.14-metre rolls. It is spongeable and suits walls where a scenic pattern with a contemporary edge is wanted. The design is offered in three colourways.
