Toussaint Toile is a large-scale printed linen created in collaboration with Haitian American fashion designer Victor Glemaud, depicting historic scenes that celebrate Haiti's liberator Toussaint Louverture alongside the country's flowers, foliage and landscapes. The design reimagines the traditional toile format, bringing Caribbean subject matter into a European pictorial convention with quiet authority.
Printed in the United Kingdom on a cloth of 53 per cent linen, 35 per cent cotton and 12 per cent nylon, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 69-centimetre repeat both vertically and horizontally. Dry cleaning is recommended. Available in several colourways, it suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions, and the design is also made as a wallpaper.
