Tropique is a loose, painterly arrangement of tropical blossoms, leaves and branches printed onto a linen ground, based on a mid-nineteenth-century document. The design has a soft, interwoven quality, the motifs drifting across the cloth without rigid structure, and the large repeat gives it room to breathe on curtains and wider expanses.
Printed and woven in the United Kingdom, it is 90 per cent linen with 10 per cent nylon, 140 centimetres wide, with a 90-centimetre vertical repeat and 70-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
