Tulip Flamestitch Embroidery takes the zigzag rhythm of a flamestitch and overlays it with embroidered tulips, creating a layered pattern that is both graphic and botanical. The design is inspired by a 1920s Schumacher archive and the palette is quieter than the decade might suggest. At 72 centimetres vertically and 130 centimetres horizontally, the repeat is large enough to need careful placement on upholstery and to read as a full composition on curtains.
Embroidered in India on a base of polyester, linen and cotton, it is 130 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and it is available in several colourways.
