Schumacher | Turkestan Embroidery

Turkestan Embroidery takes a silk ikat from Central Asia as its starting point, translating the pattern into satin-stitch embroidery that gives the design dimension and a graphic clarity. The stitching sits proud of the cloth, so the ikat motif reads as both colour and relief.

Made in India from 77% linen and 23% polyester, it is 131 centimetres wide with a 57-centimetre vertical repeat and a 32-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
