Schumacher | Tussah

Tussah is a satin-weave cloth of silk and cotton with a subtle, textured surface that catches and reflects light unevenly, giving the fabric a quiet, organic lustre. The weave has a soft, slightly slubbed character, the natural irregularities of the fibres visible in the finished cloth.

Woven in India from 70% silk and 30% cotton, it is 122 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, where its tactile quality and gentle sheen can be appreciated.
