Tutsi is a heavyweight velvet that combines cut and loop pile to create texture and depth across a surface patterned with African motifs and subtle striations. The interplay of the two pile heights catches light differently, so the design shifts as you move around it, and the weight of the cloth gives it presence and durability.
Woven in the United States from cotton with polyester, it is 129 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 17 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 11 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits cushions and upholstery, and is available in six colourways.
