Umi Tape carries a wave motif block‑printed by hand onto cotton, the pattern rolling in a gentle, repeating curve that nods to Japanese design without literalism. The irregularities inherent in hand‑printing—slight shifts in registration, variations in ink density—give each length a quietly individual quality, and the 30‑centimetre horizontal repeat allows the wave to read clearly along an edge.
Made in India from cotton, it is 9 centimetres wide and dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtain leading edges, cushion borders and upholstery detail, and is offered in a range of colourways from pale to saturated.
