Schumacher | Vasari Sheer

Vasari Sheer is a damask woven as a jacquard sheer, the pattern emerging through the transparency of the cloth rather than sitting on its surface. The design carries a quiet formality, the sort that diffuses light without announcing itself, and the natural variation in the cotton gives each length a slightly different hand.

It is woven in India from cotton alone, 130 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 31 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 27 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains where a degree of privacy and light control is wanted without full opacity, and layered blinds where the jacquard can be read against the window.
