Schumacher | Vasur Silk Matka

Vasur Silk Matka is a satin-weave cloth in tussah silk, its surface carrying the natural slub and slight irregularity that comes from wild silk fibres. The weave gives a subtle lustre, and the ivory colourway reads as a warm, creamy white with a soft hand. The tiny repeat—two centimetres vertical, one horizontal—reflects the organic variation in the yarn rather than any applied pattern, so the cloth behaves as a textured plain.

Woven in India from 100 per cent tussah silk, it is 132 centimetres wide and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. Dry cleaning is recommended.
