Schumacher | Venetian Zig Zag Block Print

Venetian Zig Zag Block Print takes its cue from the asymmetrical, stylised patterns of bizarre silks that circulated in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Europe, translating that fanciful energy into a bent stripe at a medium scale. Hand block-printed in India, the design carries the natural variation and nuance of an artisanal process, each length subtly different from the next.

The cloth is pure linen, 132 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 13 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 12 centimetres. It is printed and suits curtains, blinds, cushions or lighter upholstery. Dry cleaning is recommended. It is part of a collaboration with Drusus Tabor.
