Schumacher | Vigne Embroidery

Vigne Embroidery traces a delicate botanical pattern across silk taffeta, the leaves worked in satin and chain stitch so they sit just proud of the luminous ground. The embroidery is restrained, mid-scale, the kind of detail that reveals itself gradually rather than announcing itself from across a room.

Made in India on a pure silk ground, it is 145 centimetres wide with a 77-centimetre vertical repeat and a 73-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The silk base and fine stitching suit curtains, blinds and cushions, and it works for upholstery where a lighter, more refined cloth is appropriate.
